The Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry has enhanced its Reconsideration of Decisions service within the Minors Sector.
This enables persons under guardianship and those responsible for their affairs to submit requests for reconsideration of decisions issued on their applications for review and redetermination in accordance with the approved procedures.
Under the enhanced service, the processing time has been reduced from 48 working days to 14 working days.
The number of required documents has been reduced to one supporting document, and the number of approvals required to obtain the service has been reduced by 25 per cent.
Information about the service has also been unified across all official channels to improve accessibility and provide greater clarity on procedures and requirements.
Justice and Islamic Affairs Under-Secretary Judge Isa Sami Al Mannai said the enhancement of services provided to persons under guardianship forms part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to simplify procedures, improve service efficiency and provide beneficiaries with more accessible and flexible service channels, contributing to an improved user experience and faster completion of transactions.
The enhancement is part of the ministry’s plan to modernise services, improve efficiency and advance the digital transformation.
