BASKETBALL – BAHRAIN have been drawn in Pool C for the men’s 3x3 basketball tournament at the 20th Asian Games, the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) announced yesterday.
The kingdom’s representatives will be taking on Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, and Qatar in the preliminary phase of their competition.
The 20th Asian Games are set to be held in Aichi and Nagoya in Japan from September 19 to October 4, with some events beginning on September 10.
Basketball – both 3x3 and five-on-five – is one of 43 sports in this year’s quadrennial event. Games will be taking place at Kinjo Futo Station Square Venue between September 21 and 25.
According to the Pool C schedule released by the BOC, Bahrain begin their medal bid against Chinese Taipei on September 21, and then take on Indonesia later that same day.
The nationals then complete their opening round schedule against Gulf rivals Qatar on September 23, with the hopes of making it through to their tournament’s knockout stages.
