The fourth Bahrain International Antimicrobial Resistance and Infectious Diseases Conference will be held on September 24 and 25 at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence and Spa.
The conference will bring together healthcare professionals, researchers and policymakers to discuss the latest scientific breakthroughs in combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
Held under the theme ‘Antimicrobial Resistance and Infectious Diseases: A Global Challenge’, the conference will explore strategies and solutions to address these critical healthcare challenges.
Conference president and infectious disease, internal medicine and geriatric consultant Dr Jameela Al Salman said the theme highlights the urgency of antimicrobial resistance and the need for a co-ordinated response.
“In Bahrain, we recognise the importance of tackling this challenge, and we are committed to working with our partners to find innovative solutions,” she said.
“I encourage participants to take full advantage of the opportunities that this event will provide.”
Among the speakers are Dr Al Salman, Dr Ahmed Cordie, Dr Khalid Eljaaly, Dr Nermin Kamal, Dr Jameela Al Ajmi and Prof Ahmed Elhassi.
