BEACH SOCCER – BAHRAIN’S senior men’s beach soccer national team lost to their counterparts from Saudi Arabia 1-2 in an international friendly held as part of their overseas training camp in Saudi.
The Bahrainis are currently gearing up for their upcoming competitions, among which is the 2026 AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup, to be held in Thailand from November 18 to 28.
Goalkeeper Hussain Marhoon scored their lone goal in the tune-up.
It was the first of two games between the two sides as part of Bahrain’s camp.
Bahrain have a 14-player squad in Saudi. Along with Marhoon, the rest of the roster includes fellow-goalkeeper Ahmed Abdulrasool, Mohammed Jaafar, Ali Hassanein, Mehran Mohammed, Ebrahim Almarzooqi, Issa Al Dosari, Hussain Al Dosari, Hesham Yousef, Akbar Saeed, Issa Ghaleb, Mohammed Darwish, Hussain Shaker, and former senior men’s football national team star Sayed Mohammed Adnan.
In this year’s AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup, Bahrain are one or 13 nations taking part. The others include defending champions Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq, Japan, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and hosts Thailand.
