The Bahrain Anti-Narcotics Directorate has arrested eight people for allegedly trying to smuggle more than 17kg of drugs into Bahrain, the Interior Ministry has announced on X.
Investigations were launched into two cases, leading to the arrests, in cooperation with Bahrain International Airport customs.
The drugs, which are estimated to be worth around BD235,500, were seized and the cases have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
