The annual summer outdoor work ban has ended today.
The Labour Ministry posted on its social media channels that the midday ban on work under direct sunlight between noon and 4pm, which started on June 15, ended today.
The ban protects workers from heat stress, sunstroke and the risk of related diseases, while also reducing workplace accidents during the hottest and most humid time of the year.
Those who violate the rule can be fined between BD500 and BD1,000, along with a prison sentence of up to three months.
During the 2025 summer ban (June 15 to September 15), Bahrain recorded a 99.97 per cent compliance rate.
