A top-level inspection visit was staged at the site of the upcoming Hussain Ali Yateem Health Centre in Salman Town that will serve around 30,000 residents.
Led by Works Minister Ibrahim Al Hawaj, the trip was held as part of an ongoing initiative aimed at overseeing projects in primary healthcare centres across the kingdom.
Mr Al Hawaj was accompanied by ministry under-secretary Shaikh Mishal bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and assistant under-secretary for building projects and maintenance Maryam Amin.
“The Hussain Ali Yateem Health Centre project represents a qualitative addition to the national health system, as it will contribute to providing diverse preventative, diagnostic and therapeutic services in accordance with the concept of primary healthcare,” he said.
“It will also contribute to enhancing the local population’s access to healthcare services, thereby raising the level of public health and supporting quality of life.”
The 14,281 square metres project will include 14 physician clinics, 10 dental clinics, a laboratory department, radiology, pharmacy, maternal and child health clinics over three floors.
It will also have a physiotherapy department for men and women, an emergency and nursing section, and a designated parking for both patients and staff.
During the tour, Mr Al Hawaj affirmed the ministry’s commitment to continuing the implementation of the project in accordance with the highest technical standards and in line with the requirements of primary healthcare centres.
He highlighted the importance of healthcare infrastructure projects in strengthening the system of services provided to citizens and delivering integrated healthcare facilities that meet the current and future needs of residential areas.
“The project reflects the continued partnership with the private sector and its supportive role in government efforts across various sectors,” Mr Al Hawaj added.
“This will also broaden the scope of services available and meet the evolving needs of the community.”
Mr Al Hawaj expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Hussain Ali Yateem family for its contribution towards supporting the implementation of the project.
He also highlighted the importance of community partnership and the active contributions of members of society in supporting the kingdom’s development efforts.
