His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to supporting efforts that advance the shared aspirations of the GCC countries.
He met the heads of delegations participating in the 12th meeting of the Committee of GCC Health Ministers at Riffa Palace yesterday.
HRH Prince Salman outlined that the historic ties and mutual ambitions of the GCC countries provide a solid foundation for further strengthening co-operation, in line with the aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad and other leaders of the GCC states.
He wished the heads of the delegations success in their meeting and expressed his hope that it would play an important role in enhancing co-ordination in developing healthcare systems and the quality and efficiency of healthcare services across the GCC countries.
HRH Prince Salman highlighted the importance of implementing measures brought forward by GCC leaders regarding the healthcare sector, which will further improve the quality of services and strengthen joint medical preparedness.
The heads of delegations expressed their appreciation for HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s commitment to supporting joint Gulf action, particularly in the healthcare sector.
Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Health Minister Dr Jalila Al Sayyed, Cabinet Affairs Minister Hamad Al Malki and senior officials attended the meeting.
The committee meeting is hosted by the kingdom as part of its presidency of the 46th Session of the Supreme Council of the GCC, the ‘Bahrain Summit’.
