An international competition that brought together skilled professionals from nine different countries was recently organised by Chery Bahrain in an international showcase of expertise, professionalism and service excellence.
The second Chery International Skills Contest included participants from across the Middle East.
Hosted in Bahrain for the second time, participants were evaluated through practical and knowledge-based challenges covering key areas of technical and service delivery.
Technicians demonstrated their capabilities in areas such as diagnosis, inspection and repair quality, while service advisors were assessed across key stages of the customer journey, including understanding customer needs, service delivery and communication.
It also provided an opportunity to bring international expertise and best practices into the local market, enabling Chery Bahrain’s teams to benchmark their capabilities against wider standards.
Hamzeh Afsan from Jordan was crowned champion in the Technician category, followed by Ali Hantoosh from Bahrain as first runner-up and Mohamed Hassan from Egypt as second runner-up.
In the Service Advisor category, Bahrain’s Jameel Ali secured first place, followed by Mahesh Krishnan from Qatar and Amanda Alshair from Kuwait.
