Bahrain Bourse hosted a high-level delegation from the Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) to boost market development, operational excellence, and regional integration.
The five-day visit, held last week under an ongoing memorandum of understanding (MoU), follows a strategic visit by Bahrain Bourse to Oman in July.
The MSX delegation – comprising representatives from corporate communication, sustainability, investments, and market operations – engaged in intensive knowledge-sharing sessions on trading operations, investor engagement, and joint strategic priorities.
The itinerary also featured a tour of the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) to explore specialised training programmes for capital market professionals.
Bahrain Bourse chief executive officer Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa highlighted the importance of mutual collaboration, noting that sharing practical expertise enhances the efficiency and competitiveness of both markets.
MSX chief executive officer Haitham Al Salmi added that direct engagement allows both teams to share best practices and unlock new avenues for GCC-wide financial co-operation.
