Arabian Gulf University (AGU) launched an introductory event titled Get to Know the Vision, Mission and Strategic Goals of Arabian Gulf University, aimed at promoting institutional awareness of the university’s vision, mission, values and strategic goals, and strengthening the participation of its members in achieving its future aspirations, with the participation of academic, administrative and student communities.
The event forms part of the university’s efforts to create a stimulating academic environment and enhance internal communication on its strategic priorities, contributing to coordinated efforts, integrated roles and stronger partnerships among the various components of the university community in achieving its goals and aspirations.
The university’s vision centres on its role as an academic beacon for human development and shaping the future. Its mission focuses on developing competitive talent through distinguished education, innovative scientific research in a stimulating and contemporary academic environment, and high-quality, effective partnerships that meet the needs of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and support sustainable development.
The university’s work is guided by institutional values including belonging, justice, cooperation, innovation and excellence, reflecting its commitment to enhancing the quality of educational outcomes and strengthening its academic, research and community impact.
The event will run for a month and showcase the university’s strategic goals, foremost among them improving the quality of educational outcomes, enhancing the impact of research, innovation and entrepreneurship, supporting the development of Gulf society, developing human capital, achieving institutional excellence and financial sustainability.
Dr Ghazi bin Abdulrahman Al-Otaibi, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Scientific Research at AGU, said that the university’s mission extends beyond providing knowledge to creating a sustainable impact on individuals and society. He noted that every strategic goal and initiative launched by the university represents a step towards a more innovative, collaborative and sustainable future.
