His Majesty King Hamad has affirmed that safeguarding national unity and security remains a fundamental principle to which all constructive national views and proposals must adhere and contribute.
His Majesty also emphasised that the ultimate purpose of such views and proposals should be to strengthen the cohesion of Bahraini society, sustain the process of development, prosperity and nation-building, and achieve further national accomplishments for the people of Bahrain and future generations.
The King made the remarks as he yesterday received His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He commended the dedicated efforts of HRH Prince Salman in continuing to advance the national development process and achieve further national accomplishments across all domains.
“It’s important to continue working in co-operation and co-ordination with regional and international partners. This includes supporting every sincere effort and initiative aimed at strengthening regional security and stability and expanding opportunities for peace and co-operation, while safeguarding the interests of regional countries and supporting the peoples’ aspirations for further development and sustainable prosperity,” the King said.
The King expressed pride and appreciation to the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), the National Guard, the Interior Ministry, and military, security and civilian agencies for the vigilance and high level of readiness they have demonstrated in responding to various developments, thereby strengthening the protection of the nation.
He praised the distinguished and honourable role of the BDF in confronting the hostile Iranian attacks and protecting the kingdom’s territory, as well as the high level of competence, discipline and responsibility demonstrated by its personnel across their various posts.
“The BDF will remain steadfast in safeguarding the kingdom, its security, stability and sovereignty, as well as its development and civilisational achievements.”
On the occasion of Saudi Arabia’s National Day, His Majesty commended its development achievements across various domains, which underscore its regional and international standing.
He said the security and stability of Saudi Arabia are closely intertwined with Bahrain’s national security, affirming Bahrain’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its complete support for all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty, security and stability and protect its citizens and residents.
He reiterated Bahrain’s strong condemnation of the escalating terrorist attacks launched against Saudi Arabia by the Iran-backed Houthi militias.
The King commended the outcome of his successful visit to Greece and the talks held with President Constantine Tassoulas, and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
He noted that the visit contributed to enhancing the longstanding partnership between Bahrain and Greece across all areas and advancing their co-operation towards broader horizons in support of mutual interests.
He expressed appreciation to President Tassoulas for the warm welcome and generous hospitality extended to him and the accompanying delegation, which reflected the strength and continued development of Bahrain-Greece relations.
His Majesty and HRH Prince Salman also reviewed a number of domestic matters, including the development projects implemented across the kingdom, which serve the nation and its citizens and contribute to advancing Bahrain’s comprehensive and sustainable development.
