Government Hospitals announced the organisation of the 4th Bahraini Conference on Psychiatry, in collaboration with Education Plus, on October 8 and 9, 2026, at the Gulf Hotel.
The conference will bring together a select group of experts, specialists, and medical and nursing staff in the fields of psychiatry and mental health. This year's conference, themed "Recovery: Hope, Resilience, and Regeneration," will highlight the latest developments in diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation, and will discuss a number of topics related to recovery and mental health, in addition to reviewing the latest research, practices, and experiences in this field.
On this occasion, Dr Mariam Adhbi Al-Jalahma, CEO of Government Hospitals, emphasised the importance of the conference as a scientific platform for exchanging experiences and knowledge and learning about the latest developments in psychiatry, which contributes to developing mental health services and enhancing the quality of care provided to patients.
She explained that organising the fourth edition of the conference reflects Government Hospitals' commitment to supporting continuing medical education and training, developing the capabilities of healthcare professionals, and strengthening cooperation and the exchange of expertise among specialists, keeping pace with scientific and medical advancements in this field.
The conference includes a scientific programme of lectures and specialised panel discussions addressing the latest therapeutic approaches and practices related to psychological recovery and rehabilitation, as well as the challenges and opportunities in developing mental health services. A specialised workshop and an accompanying exhibition will also be featured, providing participants with an opportunity to network, exchange experiences, and learn about the latest trends in the field.
