His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with the heads of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) delegations participating in the 22nd meeting of the Committee of Ministers and Heads of Civil Service Agencies of the GCC, the 12th meeting of the GCC Ministers of Labour, and the 12th meeting of the Committee of Ministers of Social Affairs and Development of the GCC, as well as Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, Secretary General of the GCC, at Gudaibiya Palace.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, remains committed to supporting efforts that strengthen GCC cooperation and benefits member states, fulfilling the aspirations of their peoples.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad noted that the continued development of GCC cooperation and the achievements made across various sectors reflect the strength of the ties among member states. His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of building on these achievements to create new opportunities for cooperation and coordination, translating the visions and aspirations of the leaders of the GCC States into further development and prosperity.
During the meeting, the heads of delegations conveyed the greetings of the leaders of the GCC States to His Majesty the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
In turn, His Royal Highness conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the King and his own greetings to the leaders of the GCC States.

His Royal Highness highlighted the role of these meetings in advancing GCC partnerships and developing joint initiatives and programmes that advance the progress and prosperity of the GCC States and their peoples.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised the importance of continuing to develop GCC cooperation in the fields of labour, social development, and civil service, building on previous achievements to enhance the efficiency of work systems and support shared development priorities and objectives.
His Royal Highness also stressed the importance of exchanging expertise and best practices among the GCC States, particularly in the fields of labour, social development, and the civil service, to develop more effective programmes and initiatives that achieve their intended objectives.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad affirmed Bahrain's commitment to continuing its efforts to develop its labour market, the civil service, and social development systems, creating further opportunities for the citizens of the GCC States and supporting sustainable development across the GCC.
For their part, the heads of delegations expressed their gratitude for His Royal Highness' commitment to strengthening joint GCC cooperation in line with the aspirations of the GCC States, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people continued progress, development, and prosperity.
Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Deputy Prime Minister, and a number of senior officials also attended the meeting.
Bahrain hosted the GCC meetings as part of its presidency of the 46th Session of the Supreme Council of the GCC, the "Bahrain Summit".
