The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) participated in Fintech Forward 2026 (FF26) as a ‘Diamond Sponsor’ for the fourth consecutive year, reinforcing its continued support for Bahrain’s financial services and fintech ecosystem.
As part of the bank’s participation, NBB Group chief executive Usman Ahmed contributed to a panel discussion titled ‘From Fintech Disruption to Financial Infrastructure,’ which examined the growing integration of fintech into the core of financial services and the industry’s shift towards scale, resilience, regulation and long-term relevance.
Mr Ahmed joined prominent figures from across banking, venture capital, and fintech to share NBB’s perspective on the evolving role of financial institutions as digital capabilities become increasingly embedded within mainstream financial infrastructure.
The discussion also explored the implications of this transition for competition, consolidation, strategic partnerships and trust across the wider financial ecosystem. NBB’s participation in the event forms part of its ongoing engagement with platforms that convene leaders from different industries to exchange insights on the developments shaping the future of financial services.
