His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday received Indian Orthodox Church Supreme Head Moran Mar Baselios Marthoma Mathews III at Gudaibiya Palace.
During the meeting, HRH Prince Salman highlighted, that under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, Bahrain’s steadfast approach to religious tolerance is rooted in the values of co-existence and pluralism.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister stressed the kingdom’s pioneering achievements in this field, noting that the kingdom’s approach stands as an exemplary model of coexistence, reflecting its commitment to promoting mutual respect and openness among diverse cultures.
He also emphasised the role played by places of worship in the kingdom in upholding principles of mutual respect among diverse religions and cultures.
For his part, the Supreme Head of the Indian Orthodox Church commended the leading role Bahrain plays in promoting co-existence and tolerance, thanks to the vision of His Majesty and the directives of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Prime Minister’s Court Minister Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa as well as several senior officials were in attendance.
