BBK has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bahrain-based digital infrastructure company Infinios to explore innovations in cross-border payments and financial infrastructure.
Signed on the sidelines of Fintech Forward 2026, the agreement establishes a framework to evaluate joint initiatives in payment connectivity, transaction security, and market expansion. The collaboration aims to leverage BBK’s overseas branch network to strengthen financial ties between Bahrain and key international markets.
BBK head of financial institutions group Adnan Al Ameer highlighted the importance of seamless connectivity for international trade, noting that the partnership supports client needs while reinforcing Bahrain’s position as a regional financial hub.
Infinios chief executive Sherif Abdelsalam added that combining modern infrastructure with established banking expertise will optimise global fund movements and help businesses operate seamlessly across borders.
