PARA TAEKWONDO – Bahrain Paralympic Committee (BPC) secretary general Ali Al Majid, along with a number of BPC officials, received national Para taekwondo athlete Ebrahim Redhwan upon his return from Paris, France, where he made history by winning the kingdom’s first-ever medal in its debut participation in the World Taekwondo Grand Prix Series.
Redhwan secured his place on the podium in the K44 men’s under-63kg category, also earning him the distinction of being the only Arab athlete to win a medal at the event.
Redhwan was accompanied in the competition by national taekwondo coach Tawfiq Nwaisr and national Para taekwondo coach Fajar Albinali.
