Acclaimed comedian Trevor Noah is set to perform his brand-new stand-up show in Bahrain this December.
The South African author and former host of The Daily Show in the US will be taking the stage at Terminal 4 by Beyon on December 5.
“Get ready for a night full of laughter!” event organisers Al Dana Amphitheatre said in a statement posted on social media.
Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Mr Noah rose to fame when he appeared on the American late-night talk and news satire television programme, where he was initially a senior correspondent before becoming the host from 2015 to 2022.
During his career, Mr Noah has been nominated for the Primetime Emmy Awards 21 times, winning twice.
The New York resident was also nominated four times for the Grammy Awards and once for a Golden Globe.
He has hosted the Grammy Awards for six consecutive years, from 2021 to 2026, as well as the White House Correspondents Dinner in 2022.
His autobiography Born A Crime, published in 2016, became a New York Times Bestseller and has been picked up for a film adaptation.
The book details his experiences growing up in South Africa during the apartheid era.
When he announced his departure from The Daily Show, Mr Noah had said he wanted to revisit stand-up and visit countries for shows, ‘learning new languages’ and ‘being everywhere, doing everything’.
Mr Noah will be performing in Bahrain as part of his 2026 tour, at the tail-end of shows in Qatar, the UAE, Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong.
This will be the second time Mr Noah takes the stage in Bahrain. His first appearance in the kingdom was in February 2024 alongside comedic superstar Kevin Hart.
Tickets to his upcoming show will go on sale next week.
