Used car buyers in Bahrain could get a clearer picture of a vehicle’s true mileage under a proposal requiring odometer readings to be recorded electronically during annual inspections.
MPs will debate and vote on the proposal during Tuesday’s session, amid concerns that dishonest sellers can tamper with mileage readings to make vehicles appear less used, command higher prices and leave unsuspecting buyers facing unexpected repair bills .
