YK Almoayyed & Sons, the exclusive distributor of Nissan in Bahrain, has shared details of the Nissan Z Kaze concept following its official unveiling at the 2026 ZCON enthusiast convention in Phoenix, Arizona.
The annual event, hosted by the Z Car Club Association, celebrated the brand’s heritage of open-roof sports cars.
The unique project reintroduces the classic T-top roof configuration to the seventh-generation sports car.
Named after the Japanese word for ‘wind’, the concept was developed by Nissan’s product planning and design teams to pay tribute to classic open-top motoring of the 1990s sports car culture.
The vehicle features a Pacific Teal paint scheme, and designers have also introduced subtle body modifications inspired by the import-tuner scene of the era, including a lightweight, vented carbon-fibre bonnet, flared wheel arches, and a custom carbon-fibre aerodynamic body kit.
Though out of production for years, an original set of forged 18-inch NISMO LMGT2 wheels were sourced and restored for the concept, measuring 10-inches wide at the front and 11-inches at the rear.
Inside, the cabin features custom white leather-appointed seats paired with carbon-fibre accents and integrated Bose Personal Plus headrest speakers to optimise open-air audio performance. Mechanical enhancements heavily anchor the concept in vintage tuner culture, featuring comprehensive NISMO suspension upgrades.
The twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 engine has been enhanced with select hardware from renowned tuning house GReddy. These mechanical additions include a SUPREME SP exhaust system, a front-mount air-to-air intercooler kit, and an Airinx air filter kit.
