Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al Musallam led MPs and senior parliamentary officials in a tree-planting initiative yesterday, lending the legislature’s support to Bahrain’s national drive to expand green spaces and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.
He planted a tree at the National Assembly Complex in Gudaibiya as part of National Tree Week, launched by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the kingdom’s wider national afforestation campaign .
