EXPATRIATES calling ambulances for non-emergency cases to avoid paying increased medical fees will still have to pay the charges, confirmed a top Health Ministry official.
The GDN yesterday reported on a rush of calls for ambulances at Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) after last Friday’s announcement that expatriates seeking medical care in government hospitals and health centres will have to pay a consultation fee of BD7 per visit, up from BD3 .
