THREE more people have recovered from the coronavirus (Covid-19) infection in Bahrain.
A Bahraini woman, a Bahraini man and a Saudi woman have left the isolation facility, taking the number of patients who have recovered to four yesterday.
The Health Ministry also announced that six more people have left the quarantine facilities after completing the mandatory 14 days isolation.
This takes the total number of patients who have left the quarantine facilities to 26.
The ministry said the individuals comprise two female Bahraini nationals, one arriving from Iran, and the other having contact with an active case arriving from Iran, as well as one female Korean national, and one female Chinese national.
The ministry added that all cases in the quarantine centre are continuously monitored under the supervision of specialised medical staff, and are given the necessary care to ensure their safety, in order to preserve their health and the health of all.
According to the updated statistics on the ministry’s webpage dedicated to Covid-19 (https://www.moh.gov.bh/COVID19), four cases who tested positive have so far recovered.
Bahrain currently has 51 active cases of which 39 are in isolation not requiring any medication, while 12 are receiving necessary medication.
Of the 51, 46 were tested positive upon arrival prior to entering Bahrain and five tested positive inside the country.
According to the ministry, 5,220 people were tested for the infection, of which 5,169 tested negative.
The government also announced that 24 people left the quarantine facilities after finding themselves not infected.
The ministry reiterated its call for all individuals returning from Iran during February to schedule their medical examinations by visiting www.moh.gov.bh/444 or calling 444.
