Manama: The Cabinet has congratulated His Majesty King Hamad, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince Prime Minister, and the people of Bahrain as well as the Arab and Islamic nations on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr.
Chaired remotely by HRH Prince Salman, the weekly meeting also urged vaccination to curb infections.
Compliance with the mandatory precautionary measures is crucial in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, it stressed.
“Adherence to health protocols and vaccinations provide the best support to medical frontliners and nursing staff,” the Cabinet said, in a tribute marking International Nurses Day, observed worldwide on May 12.
The session praised co-operation between the executive and legislative branches to strengthen development and serve the nation.
It praised the role of Parliament and the Shura Council in supporting national efforts to promote Bahrain’s interests.
Ministers extended condolences to the family and relatives of Coastguard corporal Ammar Ebrahim Isa, who died during an operation to counter illegal fishing.
It backed measures ordered by HRH the Crown Prince Prime Minister to expedite procedures and bring to justice everyone who is proven to be involved in the accident.
The session voiced concern over the violent events in Jerusalem, urging the Israeli authorities to stop any acts that fuel tension.
