FREE medical care for needy and underprivileged women in Bahrain has been launched.
‘Her Health’, an initiative by Women Across, aims to provide these women with free medical care vouchers.
The package includes routine blood sugar, cholesterol, uric acid, urine, creatinine and ultrasound tests as well as physical, gynaecolgy, ENT, ophthalmology and dental consultations.
The project was inaugurated by MP Sawsan Kamal at Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Centre in Manama in the presence of guest of honour Salmaniya Medical Complex Accident and Emergency chief resident Dr P V Cheriyan.
Dr Kamal handed over the vouchers to Women Across representatives Sumithra Praveen, Vidya Sreekumar and Anupama Binu.
