Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organisation (WHO), will be arriving in Bahrain on an official two-day visit tomorrow.
He will be attending the official opening of the WHO office in the kingdom and will discuss Bahrain’s successful handling of the global crisis and will be accompanied by Dr Ahmed Al-Mandhari, the organisation’s regional director for the Eastern Mediterranean.

Dr Tedros’ visit will include a tour of a number of hospitals, examination and treatment centres, vaccination facilities and a Covid-19 operations centre.
The acclaimed Ethiopian biologist, public health researcher and official has served as Director-General since 2017.
