THAI cuisine and food products are being showcased during the ‘Amazing Taste of Thailand’ festival organised by the Thai Embassy.
The event kicked off today at 10am at Al Jazira supermarkets across the kingdom and will run until September 5, highlighting Thai products with cooking demonstrations and featuring Thai sections within the supermarkets.
“We have a number of cooking demonstrations scheduled by some of the top Thai restaurants in Bahrain,” a spokesperson from the festival told the GDN.
“The Royal Thai, Shada restaurant and Khunnay Kanom Thai will be showcasing delicious dishes during this time, the main ingredients of which can be found at Al Jazira.”
An inauguration ceremony today at 10am at the supermarket’s branch in Zinj will be followed by cooking demonstrations by Royal Thai at 10.30am, Shada Restaurant at 11.30am and Khunnay Kanom Thai at 12.30pm.

Tomorrow and on Saturday, as well as September 3 and 4, Shada restaurant will conduct a cooking demonstration at 11.10am, followed by one by Khunnay Kanom Thai at 12.30pm.
All cooking shows will be held at the Zinj location of Al Jazira.
The Royal Thai, Shada Restaurant and Khunnay Kanom Thai have been awarded the Thai SELECT Cuisine distinction by the Commerce Ministry in Thailand.
Thai SELECT is a mark of certification which guarantees the authentic Thai taste of food products and restaurants in Thailand and overseas.
