How can we convince people to keep our beaches clean?
Fine them, easy.
@lenama5570
Give them money.
@salaarcash
By using heavy fines and tight policing.
@ros_amy1
Give a BD50 fine on the spot.
@ridware
Are there any recycling plants in Bahrain?
@mayaaad
Fine them BD69.420
@yahyakuzbar
By making minds clean.
@wristamusic
Install disposal machines that pays a certain amount for disposing of waste.
@limitlessadi
@limitlessadi They did that in our school then people started stealing water bottles and chips from each other’s bags to get money!
@waleedkhan0900
@limitlessadi If people don’t throw garbage in the bin two metres away, the only solution is a fine.
@ridware
Strangling.
@majedalqaraan
When the mental infrastructure is tweaked, a lot of things will change. Littering is just one of them. Let’s talk about this in one or two generations time.
@pylo88
We couldn’t convince them to social distance and you expect to convince people to keep the beaches clean?
@bu_turab
We can convince people to keep the beaches clean by keeping dustbins in most of the beach areas and with signboards telling people to throw the rubbish in them and not on the ground.
Follow up with fines if they continue to throw the garbage on the sand.
We can also install machines which can pick up the waste and help our beaches, as well as environment, keep clean and safe for everyone.
@mariam_sh_147
CCTV and major fines! It’s the only way.
@khalidturk
National awareness campaign for at least one year – billboards, TV, radio, talk shows, roadshows in schools, etc.
@mayaaad
By educating children at schools and giving the move coverage in news to this topic; plus by imposing fines and making sure the offenders pay them.
@ludmila.bhr
Educate, educate, educate! Bring this topic up in every school, university etc! The government needs to start an initiative to clean the island constantly, fine people for littering and provide bins!
@abu_lejon
Police there at 24\7 and fines.
@muhammad.farooque
CCTV cameras.
@shaikhemaan780
The best and most practical way is to:
1. Ban plastics and disposable items at beach.
2. Bring food and beverages in reusable containers.
3. Keep ashtrays with you if you are a smoker and don’t throw the butts away on the beach.
4. Before sitting, pick up the trash from your surroundings.
5. Install waste bins at appropriate distances.
6. Impose fines.
@umar__unofficial
No littering board at the entrance and mention the penalty for littering (minimum BD20).
Placing trash can to dispose of or a vending machine that pays for every plastic disposed.
Appoint a guard (people will know someone is watching on the other hand it also make it safe for people to swim).
@affo_thenomad
Just three words ... “shame on us” ... that we leave rubbish in our beautiful country.
@prince.musa.18659
Tax areas with high littering issues. It’ll force people to keep areas clean. Also, benefit areas that also make a strong attempt to recycle.
@geoff.border
Some people just throw everything in the water, even if a trash bin is next to them. In any other country you get a hefty fine, so do that!
