Torture of dog sparks call to relocate strays
There must be strict laws and fines for acts of animal cruelty. That might firmly ensure some protection for strays.
@rameshyammini
People who torture poor animals should be punished severely.

Yes, please help the stray dogs and cats; protect them and relocate them.
@nobles_oven.bh
Please teach your children to be kind to all animals! No animal should suffer just because a child hasn’t been taught that abusing animals is horrendous behaviour. You don’t like dogs or cats? Stay away from them! Don’t hurt them! God knows when we’ll have strict laws and punishments for animal cruelty. The poor animals always suffer and the abusers get away with it with no consequences.
@wxreeesha
Strict action “must” be taken against people who treat animals badly. I hope the government will also focus on this apart from other issues.

Absolutely horrific. Yes, I agree we need to educate the children.

They don’t have heart.

Really heart-breaking! When will this beautiful little island really … I mean really ... clamp down on this kind of evil? It’s just barbaric, and children live by example of their elders. Everyone needs to play the game in helping.
Belinda Border
I hope this doesn’t go unpunished! If these “children” are old enough to commit such a horrible crime, they are old enough to take responsibility for it!

I see it every day when I walk my own dogs. The scariest threat to come across on my walk are groups of young boys.

Why are children so cruel? Start with the parents.

I can’t truly write about how I really feel about these children who tortured this poor dog.
I would probably get put into F/B prison, and I’m sure there are locals who would be offended for me calling the children what they truly are – because I’m not one of them.
However, there is no such thing as an innocent child, when they torture an animal like this. Which part is so hard for parents to understand about teaching their children to respect and care for ALL animal life – whether it be a cat, dog, camel, or whatever.
I know cats are more popular, because they don’t need to put any effort into their care. What had this dog ever done to them that warranted such a vicious, vile response from them, or was the torturing about relieving their boredom and all about having some fun?
All this dog probably wanted was for someone to give it some water and food and it would have gone away quite happy. These kids have got absolutely no understanding on how to respect personal space or boundaries in regard to animals.
That’s why I don’t ever trust most people, adult or child, to come within six feet of my dog – whether they think she’s cute or not, not even for them to take a photo of her, or stroke her.
Yet again, the animal will pay the price, and the children will go unpunished – until they do it to a human, and by then it will be too late.
Police in other cultures will tell you that statistically children who torture/kill animals when they are young, often become criminal offenders later in life.
