BAHRAIN’S senior men’s football national team continued their local training gathering last night in preparation for the 27th Gulf Cup.
The kingdom’s squad took to the Bahrain Football Association (BFA) pitches in Riffa, where head coach Dragan Talajic put them through tactical drills and ball work. BFA vice-president Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa attended the session along with BFA board member and senior men’s national team supervisor Shaikh Ahmed bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The nationals will continue their programme this evening with a closed practice at the same venue. This year’s Gulf Cup, dubbed ‘Khaleeji 27’, is scheduled for September 23 to October 6 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with Bahrain carrying the tag of defending champions.
