WITH three balls to go, Mohammed Sameer hit the winning boundary in the final of The Indian Club Ramadan Cup 2022, to establish Abu Saad Electronics as the tournament’s champions with a three-wicket win over Shaheen Group.
Earlier, in two competitive semi-finals, Abu Saad Electronics defeated Super Fire & Safety by three wickets, knocking off the winning runs with two balls to spare and Shaheen Group beat Awan Khiladi by four wickets with an over to spare.
In a two-over play-off match for the second runner-up spot, Super Fire & Safety edged out Awan Khiladi by one run.
The Indian Club-Bahrain executive committee members presented the prizes to the successful teams and players.
Abu Saad Electronics team received the winner’s trophy and BD250, while Shaheen Group were presented the runner-up trophy and BD150. Trophies were also awarded to the individual stars of the tournament.
