SEVERAL students have launched a new initiative to solve their transportation problems following a decision by Bahrain University to cancel bus service to and from its three campuses.
They have started a WhatsApp group through which they can share a ride with any student driving to their campus for BD1, reports our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej yesterday.
Many students and parents have welcomed the initiative which according to them works out cheaper than even public transport.
The decision by the university to cancel the bus service has sparked outrage with parents and students urging an urgent rethink, as reported by the GDN.
