Two people, including a top official, have been acquitted of allegedly supplying medical equipment unfit for use during the Covid-19 pandemic at a cost of more than half a million dinars to the Interior Ministry.
The 51-year-old Bahraini high-ranking police officer and his 61-year-old Indian expatriate resident co-defendant were found not guilty of the charges today (Dec 13) by the High Criminal Court due to lack of evidence .
