An Indian expatriate has died after being struck by a vehicle while riding an e-scooter in Fujairah.
The victim was identified as 24-year-old Reswin Rasheed Thellikennel from the Indian state of Kerala.
He worked at a local food outlet in the emirate and was returning home from work at the time of the collision.
The victim was scheduled to return to India next month for his upcoming wedding.
Fujairah Police stated that the rider crossed the road at an undesignated and dangerous location in violation of traffic regulations.
The e-scooter was subsequently struck by a sports utility vehicle driven by a woman in her 50s.
