Horseracing fans will witness some exciting contests as the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) in Sakhir holds the 21st race of the season today.
The Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup race is considered one of the most important races of the season which receives great attention, and today the competition will be tougher since the value of the cash prizes has been raised to BD68,000.
Races will also be held for Shaikha Shaima Bint Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup, Shaikh Hamad Bin Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup, Shaikh Mohammed Bin Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup and Shaikh Khalid Bin Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup.
Shaikh Nasser has also directed to hold a raffle draw for three cars to be given away to the fans who will be attending the races. The prizes will be given in appreciation of their role in supporting sports in Bahrain and imparting enthusiasm and excitement to the event.
