HIS Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised Team Victorious’ Salman Isa’s achievement of second place in the 120km Compiegne International Endurance Race that was held in France, pointing out that this good result reflects the team’s continued strong presence in European championships and tournaments.
Shaikh Nasser noted that the Compiegne race is considered one of the strong races on the European arena and enjoys wide participation from top riders.
Salman Isa was able to take the second place following strong and exciting competition with the other riders, narrowly falling behind French rider Aureli, who won the race, while Kuwaiti rider Yaqoub Al Anzi finished third.
Shaikh Nasser expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the technical and administrative staff of Team Victorious and the riders’ keenness to achieve positive results in European events, pointing out that the presence of the team on the podium is a clear indication of their determination.
Elisabeth Hardy from Belgium, Sabrina Arnold from Germany and Shaikh Abdullah bin Faisal Al Qasimi from the UAE, came in fourth, fifth and sixth places, respectively. The seventh, eighth and ninth positions were won by Guillaume Dolci, Paul and Poncela Julie, from France, in that order.
