Solidarity Bahrain, one of the largest insurance companies in Bahrain, has entered into a partnership with Nidukki, a waste management, cleaning, and recycling service provider.
This long-term partnership between the two entities entails collecting recyclable waste and hosting awareness workshops and educational activities as integral components of a comprehensive programme called ‘Simply Bottles’.
Initially, the initiative will concentrate on schools in Bahrain, with the goal of expanding its reach throughout the entire kingdom.
Through this partnership, Solidarity is committed to fostering awareness by emphasising the importance of social responsibility in recycling to reduce the negative impacts of pollution and the production of plastic and harmful waste.
Commenting on the occasion, Solidarity Bahrain assistant general manager for corporate support Mohammed Awachi said: “We are pleased to be collaborating with Nidukki on this wide nation initiative, as this comes as part of our committed efforts to embed environmental consciousness within our society. Solidarity remains dedicated towards playing an active role in reducing plastic consumption, as well as highlighting the positive outcomes of such initiatives.”
He added: “We look forward to implementing further environmental initiatives that go in line with our company’s social responsibility strategy. Our primary focus is to amplify private sector involvement in environmental sustainability, spreading awareness, and inspiring responsible plastic disposal practices.”
Nasser A Mattar, director at Nidukki, stated: “We are thrilled to have Solidarity as the exclusive sponsor to our educational programme, ‘Simply Bottles – a DGrade initiative. Solidarity’s strategy is in line with our mission to educate and inspire our youth to drive responsible recycling and waste management in Bahrain forward. Nidukki would like to thank Solidarity for their commitment to this necessary environmental awareness culture change. We anticipate this collaboration will bring a much needed positive change to our kingdom.”
