The foundation stone laying ceremony for the Hussain Ali Yateem Health Centre in Salman Town was held yesterday.
Supreme Council for Health (SCH) chairman Lieutenant General Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa presided over the event in the presence of Health Minister Dr Jalila Al Sayyed.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that Bahrain is on the right track to achieving all its healthcare goals, stressing the importance of continuing to implement projects to serve the comprehensive development process, led by His Majesty King Hamad, and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The SCH chairman expressed thanks and appreciation to the Ali and Mohammed Yateem Company for its support and keenness to deliver health and treatment services within the framework of its social responsibility.
The Health Minister underlined the kingdom’s keenness to launch more development projects to improve its health facilities and services so as to ensure the delivery of integrated and distinguished healthcare to everybody.
She commended the major role played by the private sector and civil society organisations in supporting efforts to achieve sustainable development, especially in the health sector, extending thanks and appreciation to the Yateem family for their contributions to providing high-quality healthcare services.
Works Ministry Under-Secretary Shaikh Meshal bin Mohammed Al Khalifa highlighted the ministry’s keenness to co-ordinate with various government entities in designing and constructing government buildings, including health facilities, lauding the support of the private sector, which, he said, is an essential partner in implementing government projects.
Ali and Mohammed Yateem Company chairman Ali Hussain Yateem extended sincere thanks to the government, led by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for its tireless efforts to improve the quality of health services.
