Bahrain will continue adopting programmes and utilising all its resources to serve citizens, His Majesty King Hamad has pledged.
The King pointed out that Bahrain had developed so much over the past 25 years thanks to the co-operation among all citizens as he received citizens and well-wishers from the Capital Governorate at Sakhir Palace last night.
Present was his Personal Representative Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
“Building Bahrain is a non-stop process to achieve ambitions and fulfil hopes,” His Majesty said, pointing out that meeting citizens in the holy month of Ramadan is an inherent tradition and a characteristic feature of the Bahraini community.
His Majesty commended the remarkable contributions of citizens from the Capital Governorate to the kingdom’s growth and prosperity.
He highlighted the cohesion and unity characterising the Bahraini society.
“Serving citizens is the target of all plans and strategies,” the King said, affirming determination to work for a brighter and more prosperous future.
The well-wishers extended deepest congratulations to His Majesty on the Silver Jubilee, marking 25 years of his reign.
They praised the numerous achievements brought about under his reign which earned the kingdom an advanced place on the world map.
Nasser Mohammed Al Arrayedh delivered a speech on behalf of the residents of the governorate in which he expressed appreciation for the opportunity for the audience with His Majesty.
The attendees then presented a commemorative gift to the King.
Capital Governor Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa extended appreciation to His Majesty for receiving the people of the governorate.
