His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday met Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al Musallam and Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh at Gudaibiya Palace.
He affirmed that the Royal address that inaugurated the fifth session of the sixth legislative term of the Shura Council and Parliament, delivered by His Majesty King Hamad, sets out a comprehensive and inclusive national vision, with its key themes and priorities providing a solid foundation for the kingdom’s continued growth.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister further noted that the Royal address is a reflection of His Majesty’s commitment to strengthening co-operation and co-ordination among the constitutional authorities, reinforcing national unity and solidarity, and upholding national interests that support the kingdom’s development.
HRH Prince Salman emphasised the importance of deepening co-operation between the executive and legislative branches to translate the Royal directives and vision outlined in the Royal address into effective initiatives that advance national development and fulfil citizens’ aspirations.
He commended the legislative branch members for advancing national development and strengthening co-operation between the executive and legislative branches, expressing his appreciation for the contributions of members of both the Shura Council and the Parliament.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister wished the legislative branch continued success in fulfilling its national duties and responsibilities during the new legislative term, achieving further milestones that fulfil citizens’ aspirations and contribute to the kingdom’s continued prosperity.
HRH Prince Salman stressed the importance of translating the objectives of the Royal address into effective plans, programmes, and initiatives, while strengthening co-operation and co-ordination with the legislative branch to advance national priorities and modernise and harmonise economic legislation.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also expressed his pride in all members of Team Bahrain, commending their dedication and significant contributions across their respective roles and responsibilities.
For their part, the speaker of Parliament and the chairman of the Shura Council expressed their gratitude for HRH Prince Salman’s commitment to strengthening co-operation between the legislative and executive branches.
They reaffirmed the legislative branch’s dedication to fulfilling its national responsibilities and supporting efforts to advance the kingdom’s development, progress and prosperity for the benefit of its citizens.
Adviser to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and several senior officials also attended the meeting.
