Bahrain’s sporting jewel BRAVE Combat Federation is set to roll out an historic event on Saturday in Mauritius with BRAVE CF 82.
This will be the first-ever event in Mauritius and the fourth event in Africa for the most global MMA organisation in the world; further solidifying its status as the only International MMA organisation to host events in the African Continent.
The historic event has a fitting fight card on offer as well.
BRAVE CF 82 will be headlined by the bantamweight world title fight between champion Nkosi Ndebele and challenger Jose ‘Shorty’ Torres. This will be the first-ever trilogy in BRAVE CF and will also be the first trilogy in MMA with each fight happening in a different continent. On top of all these, Nkosi will have the opportunity to become the first African MMA World Champion to successfully defend the title on African soil.
The co-main event will have an equally intriguing matchup in the bantamweight division as Zimbabwe’s Nicholas Hwende welcomes promotional debutant and undefeated prospect Khurshed Nazarov. The fight is bound to have huge implications for the division and will see a top talent from Africa in Hwende going up against a top talent from Central Asia in Nazarov: making it a global affair.
Elsewhere, the card will also feature three fighters from the Democratic Republic of Congo showcasing the impact that BRAVE CF has managed to create in the country.
Eliezer Kubanza, who rose to stardom in 2023 with his performances in BRAVE CF, will be returning to take on the experienced Karim Rabei. Along with Kubanza, promotional debutants and upcoming African stars Ananias Mulumba and Prince Lolia will also represent DR Congo on the card.
Ananias Mulumba takes on BRAVE CF veteran Ylies Djiroun in a featherweight bout when Prince Lolia will fight Bahrain’s own Ramazan Gitinov in a match which has already made headlines.
Prince Lolia, who comes into the fight with an undefeated record, recently unleashed a verbal attack on Ramazan’s association with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev which has raised the stakes for the showdown.
With the next generation of African stars, upcoming prospects, and the historic title fight as the headliner, BRAVE CF 82 is poised to be a game changer not only in Mauritius but also in the entire African continent.
