The bank’s ‘Khaleeji App’ triumphed in the fintech category, while its Diamond Sponsorship of Gitex Global 2023, the Middle East’s biggest tech event, was also commended.
The ceremony, held under the patronage of Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh, saw participation from digital innovation and entrepreneurship leaders across various sectors. The Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) organised the event.
Khaleeji Bank’s app offers a comprehensive and user-friendly banking experience. It allows customers to conduct a variety of transactions and procedures through their smartphones, with advanced features for managing finances securely and efficiently.
The app eliminates the need for branch visits for several services, reflecting the bank’s commitment to innovation and catering to the digital age.
“We are thrilled with these awards, especially the recognition for our Khaleeji App, which underlines our dedication to innovation and excellence,” said Khaleeji Bank’s head of retail banking Ameera Al Abbasi.
“We leverage technology to enhance customer experience and stay ahead in the rapidly evolving banking landscape,” Ms Al Abbasi added. She commended the BDC Awards for recognising innovation and pledged the bank’s continued pursuit of cutting-edge solutions in digital banking and fintech.
Khaleeji Bank’s chief technology officer Osama Ali Hassan highlighted the app’s focus on a secure and seamless banking experience.
“We invest heavily in developing our digital capabilities to ensure clients have access to the latest and most secure technologies,” said Mr Hassan. The Khaleeji App exemplifies this commitment, he added, with advanced encryption protocols and a user-friendly interface.
