Strengthening national talent development, enhancing administrative leadership, and aligning training initiatives with private sector requirements were the focus of high-level talks held yesterday between the Bahrain Chamber (BCCI) and the Institute of Public Administration (IPA).
Bahrain Chamber chairman Nabeel Kanoo received IPA director general Dr Shaikha Rana bint Isa Al Khalifa, to explore joint co-operation across research, training, and human resource management.
Highlighting the critical role of institutional partnerships, Mr Kanoo emphasised that aligning educational and training frameworks with real-world labour market demands is essential for developing national talent capable of navigating rapid economic transformations.
He stressed that human capital development remains a fundamental pillar for driving sustainable business growth and private sector competitiveness across the kingdom.
“Human resource development is a cornerstone for enhancing private sector growth. The Bahrain Chamber is committed to ensuring that our joint initiatives directly benefit business owners and employees by providing high-quality, practical training programmes that address actual market needs and boost productivity,” Mr Kanoo added.
He added that future training offerings must be built upon direct assessments of the business community’s specific operational challenges to achieve measurable, practical outcomes.
For her part, Dr Shaikha Rana underscored the importance of maintaining direct communication channels with the business community through the Bahrain Chamber. She noted that understanding real-time market requirements enables IPA to design targetted capacity-building programmes, leadership initiatives, and administrative courses tailored for national talent.
The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing to establish joint expert exchange frameworks and build actionable training programmes to expand capacity-building opportunities for private sector institutions, supporting the kingdom’s overarching economic development goals.
