A popular restaurant in the Capital Governorate was shut down by the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition after a routine inspection revealed that it was serving rotten eggs to customers.
The routine inspection found that the restaurant was serving eggs that had expired over two months ago, despite the obvious health hazards.
The officials conducting the inspection issued a seizure report, and due to the severity of the violations, the restaurant was shut down immediately.
The severity of the violations also prompted the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition to refer the case to the Public Prosecution for further legal action.
