Bahrain International Airport, managed by Bahrain Airport Company, is set to welcome more than 2,500 aviation stakeholders for the 29th edition of Routes World 2024.
The event, taking place from Sunday to Tuesday, will feature industry leaders from around the globe, including representatives from Emirates, Qatar Airways and Delta Air Lines.
Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Mohammed Al Kaabi will be in attendance as the event showcases Bahrain’s tourism offerings to a global audience of aviation professionals. The event will include more than 10,000 planned meetings between airlines, airports, and destinations, with the aim of forging new route development strategies and partnerships.
Bahrain’s strategic location, coupled with modern aviation infrastructure, provides unparalleled connectivity to key global markets. The government has set ambitious goals to connect the kingdom to 100 new flights by 2025, positioning Bahrain as a global crossroads.
Bahrain Airport Company chief executive Mohamed Al Binfalah said: “We are honoured to host Routes World 2024 and welcome aviation leaders from across the globe... This event aligns with the kingdom’s vision to establish Bahrain as a global aviation and tourism hub.”
The event is hosted in partnership with the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, the Bahrain Economic Development Board and Gulf Air, with additional support from the Gulf Hotel Bahrain Convention and Spa and Bahrain Duty Free.
