Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro visited Jalal Ionics Company (Aqua Cool) in Mina Salman Industrial Area, as part of ongoing efforts to monitor developments and production processes within the industrial sector.
During the visit, the minister was briefed on all stages of bottled mineral water production, from harvesting and processing to bottling. Factory director Mahmoud Al Hashemi provided a detailed overview of the factory’s commitment to high-quality products and adherence to international health and safety standards.
Mr Fakhro expressed pride in the local industry, commending the company’s efforts in advancing the water industry in the kingdom. He emphasised the ministry’s commitment to supporting local factories in achieving the objectives of the Industrial Sector Strategy (2022-2026), which aims to increase the sector’s contribution to GDP, boost exports of locally produced goods, and foster sustainable development and investment opportunities.
