Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro attended the launch of the Youth Investment Project and the Young Entrepreneurs Centre, an initiative organised by the Bahrain International Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW Bahrain) at Al Aali Mall.
The event was held in the presence of BPW Bahrain president Shaikha Hind bint Salman Al Khalifa, along with several entrepreneurs and stakeholders.
The centre brings together emerging entrepreneurs, artists, and small business owners, providing them with professional support to prepare for market entry, whether through individual or family-led projects. It forms part of a wider initiative aimed at training young Bahrainis in commerce and marketing, using virtual commercial registrations within a legal framework overseen by the federation.
Mr Fakhro underscored the Industry and Commerce Ministry’s commitment to supporting the entrepreneurship sector as a key pillar of national economic development.
He highlighted the ministry’s ongoing efforts to improve the business environment for startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and to empower young entrepreneurs through practical training, incubators, and business accelerators.
He emphasised the initiative’s role in developing entrepreneurial skills among young people, encouraging greater professional engagement in the private sector, and preparing them to compete in both local and global markets.
