A record number of local and international exhibitors are set to take part in Bahrain’s largest animal show that will officially open today at 5pm.
The Bahrain Animal and Agriculture Production Show (Mara’ee 2025) will open to the public tomorrow at the Bahrain International Endurance Village in Zallaq and will run until December 13.
It’s being held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad.
The exhibition is one of the region’s largest platforms dedicated to agricultural and livestock production and supports national food security efforts in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to advance and sustain domestic agricultural production.
Ahead of the launch, Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister Wael Al Mubarak paid an inspection visit to review the technical and logistical preparations.
He said this year’s exhibition includes a wide range of rich and integrated activities suitable for all age groups.
“Mara’ee 2025 will feature animal exhibitions for horses, camels, livestock and bird shows, in addition to agricultural exhibitions with various sections,” he said during the visit.

“It will provide visitors with an integrated experience that links agricultural production with local heritage, and highlight the biodiversity that distinguishes Bahrain.
“Activities also include a special corner for arts and culture that reflects the national interest in agricultural and animal production.
“There will be entertainment sections that will offer visitors a complete experience, making it a distinctive family destination that combines education, knowledge and enjoyment.”
Mr Al Mubarak confirmed that this year’s exhibition will feature more exhibitors than in previous years with both local and international participation.
He pointed out that the event will represent an important platform for showcasing Bahrain’s efforts in developing agricultural and animal production sectors and enhancing its position as a regional centre for innovation and investment in this vital field.

He invited all citizens and residents to visit the exhibition and benefit from the rich activities it offers over the course of five days.
Thousands of people flocked to the show last year, which featured more than 800 breeders, farmers, plant nurseries, government agencies and animal societies.
Starting 2024, the exhibition was organised with the intention of promoting local Bahraini produce, with farmers expressing their delight at being given the opportunity to showcase their products and services.
Due to popular demand, Mara’ee 2024 was extended from three days to five, and the timing was also extended from 9am to 9pm.
The GDN reported that Mara’ee 2025 will showcase rare Arabian horse breeds and livestock varieties owned by Bahraini breeders, enhancing investment opportunities in specialised breeding programmes.
The event is expected to attract companies and experts in agricultural production, and reflects progress in establishing an integrated framework that supports food security, diversifies production sources, and encourages investment in the sector.
