SUPREME Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa issued edict four of 2026, appointing a member to the Bahrain Rugby Football Association (BRFA) board of directors.
The edict stipulates that, after reviewing the Law on Social and Cultural Associations and Clubs, Private Organisations Operating in the Field of Youth and Sport, and Private Institutions promulgated by decree-law 21 of 1989 and its amendments, as well as the Unified Statutes of Bahraini Sports Federations, George William John William Chisholm has been appointed as a member of the BRFA board.
According to article two, the secretary general and all parties concerned shall implement the edict, each within their respective remit, and it shall take effect from the date of its issuance.
Shaikh Khalid also issued edict five of 2026, appointing a member to the Bahrain Billiards and Darts Federation (BBDF) board of directors.
The edict stipulates that, after reviewing the Law on Social and Cultural Associations and Clubs, Private Organisations Operating in the Field of Youth and Sport, and Private Institutions promulgated by decree-law 21 of 1989 and its amendments, as well as the Unified Statutes of Bahraini Sports Federations, Abdulla Abdulrahman Obaid Awadh Musayger is appointed as a BBDF board member.
According to article 2, the secretary general and all parties concerned shall implement the edict, each within their respective remit, and it shall take effect from the date of its issuance.
